At the November Lomi Lomi course, which I had the opportunity to lead, a collective heart space opened up. In the embrace of maternal energy, bliss, tenderness, and gentleness, our bodies cleansed themselves of blockages and beliefs that we no longer need. The Aloha energy activated the transformation process, allowing us to symbolically be reborn in our bodies.
Celebrating Yourself
It was also a meeting where I could celebrate my next birthday in the extraordinary company of kindred spirits. This time I started counting my age backward 😉 For the first time in ages, I allowed myself to derive unrestrained joy from this celebration.
Celebrating this joy against the beliefs and arrangements that I had previously absorbed through upbringing, environment, culture: because it’s not appropriate to be so happy, because it’s selfish, because it’s arrogance, pride, audacity, ego inflation, because one must be modest, because it’s a virtue and value.
For the first time, I let go of myself and allowed everything that flowed: joy, bliss, madness, wildness, power, because everything within us is good. Thank you all.
Lomi Lomi Massage is a Dance of Two Souls
The demonstration of massage at this Lomi course had an extraordinary dimension for me in the context of bodywork, primarily in the visual dimension. Being in close contact with the person I work with, I realize what happens during the massage and how much healing value it has. However, I rarely have the opportunity to observe myself while massaging.
Thank you to the participants who recorded a video of the demonstration. When I saw this material, I realized how much I don’t believe in and appreciate myself. It was like an epiphany, so I gave myself the right to admire myself and derive joy from what I do during the massage and how beautifully it presents itself. It brought associations that massage Lomi Lomi is not just the dance steps of the masseur, it’s a dance with passion, and for me, such a dance is tango.
The masseur leads the person experiencing the massage in their arms. Leads like a partner in tango, and the partner tries to keep up. It confirmed my belief that I can dance and massage during this dance. My dance is Lomi Lomi tango. It’s a passion and art worth sharing not only in massage sessions but also in demonstrations.
What is Your Value?
It also came to me that Lomi Lomi has immense value, including monetary. Someone once beautifully compared Lomi to a Mercedes among massages. Today it’s a Maybach, a car made to order for the chosen ones, so it should be priced as much as it brings us satisfaction and joy. As much as the energy we put into our work and the costs we incurred in connection with it, and how effective it is to be able to do it as best as we can, so we don’t feel like we’re overusing ourselves, giving away power, serving or offering ourselves to someone or something.
Not as much as we suspect, that the client will be able to pay us, because it’s against the principles of selflessness, kindness, helping, healing, because it’s a sign of disrespect and humility, because of such a location, this and that. These are excuses from our programs: “I don’t deserve that much, money is bad, I won’t have clients because no one can afford it today, especially in the location where I operate.” No!… Yes, it’s a sign of disrespect, but to yourself, and consequently also to the person for whom you perform the massage.
We live in a system based on the energy of money, and let’s stop deceiving ourselves and our clients that we perform an exclusive service with full commitment at a discount, which requires a significant amount of energy from us.
How much are you willing to sacrifice and give away? -10%, -20%, because… some occasion like Gold, Black, Red. Who among you will give more? It means that your work is worth less than you price it daily. It means that daily you are deceiving? Maybe instead of attaching to externally invented promotion holidays and thus reducing the value of your service, do something more for the client – add something from yourself? Remember the rule?: All power comes from within us, so since it comes from within us, what is your value?
What is the value of your Lomi Lomi massage, which is a unique service? What price would bring you satisfaction? Believe that if you are satisfied with the remuneration you receive for your work, the client will be even more satisfied – not the other way around – because you will give them with full joy what you do best. Start acting from the position that the client loses nothing by paying you for the massage, but gains the best massage a human could imagine.
Be Unrestrained Joy
I wish you from the heart to discover and celebrate childlike joy every day. If you have something against yourself, something you don’t like about yourself, those 10, or 20% Black ;), or what bothers you about yourself, then let go of yourself. Respect, accept, love, and enjoy the thing that seems most trivial or silly. Celebrate. Give yourself the right to the best, to broadly understood wealth, and please, this is not pride, ego inflation, or denial.
This is the joy of being. You are wonderful and unique as you were created. Share this joy through Lomi Lomi massage, through the thoughts and words you speak to yourself, through any form of sharing goodness. “Let the arms of Aloha embrace the whole world.”
