I haven’t been to Hawaii in this incarnation. There are those who claim that I was there in other incarnations, and it’s possible because otherwise, I wouldn’t have been involved with it for so long.

I don’t conduct Certified courses, but I issue Certificates.

I teach massage, or rather Lomi Lomi, originating from the shamanic transformative tradition once practiced by the Kahunas in Polynesia.

What is Lomi Lomi…?

What might it have started from, and what is it now?

Some say that long ago in Hawaii, women would knead their partners’ bloated bellies so they could digest the food stuck in their guts. This practice was then called Lomi Lomi.

In French Polynesia, however, they practiced the art of touch called Taurumi, where the foundational approach to bodywork is a deep abdominal massage. Although the distance between Hawaii and the Tahiti islands is considerable, it turns out that the culture, knowledge, and traditions are as similar as those of the inhabitants of Silesia and central Poland. But let’s return to the belly, Lomi Lomi, and Taurumi…

The Mystery of the Belly

Just as for modern Europeans the most important part of the body is the Mind, and for some the Heart, so for Polynesians, the center of the body and the world is the Belly. The inhabitants of Polynesia claim that Mana, or inner power, is hidden in the human belly, which determines our health, mood, and quality of life.

The indigenous people of Hawaii were almost completely wiped out, and with them, the knowledge of their fascinating tradition and culture almost disappeared. Today, we can learn more about Lomi Lomi from American books and training, and probably even more from French Polynesia.

They say that Lomi Lomi is belly kneading, which then began to evolve and was practiced by local Shamans in the form of touch, massage, or bodywork. It was passed down from generation to generation in various family traditions. For Hawaiians, Lomi Lomi was something sacred, carefully hidden from newcomers from other cultures. Perhaps this very fact is why we know as much as we do about this extraordinary ritual, or as much as the Hawaiians themselves have allowed us to know.

So is the Belly the key to unraveling the mystery of what Lomi Lomi really is?

The Splendor of Lomi Lomi and European Hybrids

We know that once Lomi Lomi was not performed on a massage table, but on the floor. A table is more associated there with a place for preparing meals. The body was also not covered with anything, because nudity was not a problem there at the time. Lomi Lomi also evolved and had various forms. Its diversity was also evidenced by the words added to the name Lomi Lomi.

Lomi Lomi performed with feet, Lomi Lomi with heated stones collected on the seashore, Lomi Lomi in the form of Bodywork, Lomi Lomi Bone Wash, or the most well-known in Europe today, Lomi Lomi Nui, originating from the tradition of Abraham Kawai’i – Kahuna Bodywork, taught by Americans on massage tables in a version with a cloth, which has already evolved here into various Hybrids, which often have little to do with Lomi Lomi.

What we have in Poland today is a definite dominance of Lomi Lomi in the Nui version, promoted by Aloha International and a proliferation of various forms of Lomi Lomi, derived from Nui. Perhaps the inhabitants of our country in other incarnations were those lost inhabitants of Hawaii, who today awaken in themselves what was once trampled by others, or simply we Poles have extraordinary creative abilities… Lomi Lomi face, Lomi Lomi Spa type, Lomi Lomi therapeutic, Lomi Lomi Flow, Lomi Lomi Physio…

Some say that today modern Hawaiians can learn Lomi Lomi from Europeans, and who knows – maybe there’s something to it.

Lomi Lomi according to the Shamanic Transformative Path

Recently, getting to know Mana Akitanga, I realized that my several years of experience with this type of bodywork persistently led me towards Lomi Lomi, originating from the shamanic transformative path, where everything has its meaning and is interconnected. In Polynesia, everything has its logical sense. What is on the surface is visible to the naked eye, and what is inside is hidden, and to see it, you need to look at it longer. The human voice and the order of intoned vowels, preparing food, medicines from plants, knowledge of Polynesian Gods, Huna, Lomi Lomi, and Dance, what is earthly and extraterrestrial are interconnected and it surprises me when someone says it has no connection… that just touch is enough – although if they say so, then perhaps for them it is.

Lomi Lomi from the shamanic transformative path is a quality in which I feel at home, like a Dolphin in water, as Mana Akitanga said – like the Horse of Freedom, which shows me the way… And there is no striving for mysticism or shamanism here. It simply comes naturally and is what it is, in the combination of what is earthly – what is available and visible to the naked eye, with what is extraterrestrial – which needs to be looked at longer to simply see it.

Hence my Lomi Lomi Nui courses conducted in the transformative stream in the Holistic version, Lomi Lomi ‘Ōu’a, or unexpected dolphin movements, known as Sensual Dance, where working with energy is extremely important. Courses Bone Wash & Ha Breath and Ho’oponopono conducted by Mika Kaniho Kanehoalani, which include the spiritual dimension of Lomi Lomi. As a result of all this, the idea for a Master School of Lomi Lomi was also born, encompassing different perspectives on the Polynesian art of touch.

Why do I need this Polynesia?

Sometimes I wonder why I need this Polynesia here in Poland and what is it all about?

Mana Akitanga’s grandmother – Taianapa, said to him: You will help people in Poland restore their memory of their true roots. Perhaps in the words of Mana’s grandmother, there is the sense of what I am currently doing.
