When I think of the first principle of Huna, the thesis of Immanuel Kant instantly comes to mind: “The starry sky above me. The moral law within me”, which speaks to the idea that the world outside of us exists in itself and we as humans are not able to know it in the form in which it exists in itself, because we are limited by our senses and our perception of the external world is narrowed to our individual ability to perceive this world. This, in turn, leads us to one recognition, that – this seemingly external world always unfolds within us. It is a thesis that is terrifying on one hand, and wonderful on the other.

Imagine that you have influence – albeit limited by the laws of physics, but still influence – on everything that happens within you and everything that happens within you manifests or expresses itself in the external world.

Our ability to perceive the world depends on the cognitive quality of our senses. Each of us has developed these sensory abilities to varying degrees. Life experience, the place, and the environment in which we reside also determine our cognitive qualities. Growing up among different people, learning in school, we take certain concepts about the world for granted. These concepts can be used as tools, allowing us to survive in a certain environment, but we can also use them to create new solutions, inventions serving the development of humanity. However, it often happens that “concepts” act like viruses in the mind, which do not allow us to develop and perceive the world from a much broader perspective.

In our heads, we take certain assumptions for granted and compete with each other over their validity, which in turn has a significant impact on our well-being:

– Mickiewicz was a great poet…
– God was born on December 24th…
– Those on the right are better than those on the left, because those on the right give, and those on the left take… and it doesn’t matter that those who give, give from our pocket, because they have nothing themselves…
– Pink is reserved for girls, and toy cars for boys…
– Lomi Lomi is a massage with a scarf – incidentally Balinese, and you can also massage in a bathrobe… that 50 cm from the body is OK, and if it’s 30 then it’s no longer Lomi Lomi… that you can do it naked, and others say absolutely not, that it adds nothing and that it’s disgusting…
– Certified is exceptional, because candy in colorful paper tastes better…

…and so “they will chirp, whistle, coo, piptilitate and pimpilate”, they will create and are creating various concepts and theses about the world, which unfolds in each of us simultaneously, but with different emotional intensity.

So if we ourselves have an influence on the perception of the seemingly external world, what vision of the world supports us, and what burdens us? Is it better to identify with something, and thus take an active part in some vision, or perhaps try to look at what is happening from the position of an observer?

What car do you want to travel in? In what bed do you want to sleep well? What are your dreams? What are the words you use every day? Is the glass half full or half empty? All of this affects what your world is like, because you have the will and the gift of creating your own world.

So What is your world like?
